In our language arts class, we have read various biographies such as,

Scholastic Easy Reader Biographies
Scholastic Easy Reader Biographies
and George Washington
After sharing several mentor texts and completing "noticings charts" in class, each student researched a historically significant person using the biography poster as a template and guide.
In science, we have been learning about the three types of rocks: Igneous, Sedimentary, and Metamorphic.
What would happen if we combine the two? Biographies and Rocks?

The biography poster reports are awesome! And what a cool way to tie biographies into science - I would have never thought of this... :) I can't wait to see more of what's going on in your classroom!
